Wow. I was looking around on the internet and stumbled across some videos of what they did to all the Cash For Clunkers Cars. And what a waste. They were taking all these cars and destroying the engine. They were seizing them up making the engine worth no more than scrap metal. It was terrible to see perfectly good cars, trucks, SUVs, Vans, ect. destroyed and wasted. Who ever thought that up must have had their head shoved up their ass.
I got this badass camera at the Flea Market. Its a Vivitar 600 110 Film camera. I went to Wal Mart to get some 110 film and they told me it is no longer made. I made some phone calls to other stores and did some research and they quit making 110 film a couple years ago. I got some online from http://www.frugalphotographer.com/ It had expired a while back but it had been stored vacuum sealed in a freezer so it should hopefully be alright.
Well making this print I over exposed one and it came out too dark. I just thew it aside until one day I was bored and found it so I took a screw and scratched the image into it. You could see a very faint outline of the tree under bright light so I used that to help guide me.
I decided I like film better than digital. I took these processed the film and made prints in the darkroom. They look better in person. The scanner doesn’t do anything I put in it justice.
The other day I got to go to the Abandoned Santa Fe Railroad shops in Albuquerque, New Mexico. They were once state of the art facilities designed to repair and overhaul steam locomotives. The largest of the buildings is 150,000+ square feet and they were all built in the early 1920s and before. They’ve been abandoned since the mid 70s. They made for a great photo shot. Pictures will be posted within the week,
Sorry if the pictures seem blurry. Its just tumblr. Theres been so many people on at once their whole site gets slow and screwy.
Everything else.
A couple pictures I snapped while driving though Raton pass between Raton, New Mexico and Trinidad, Colorado. There was a fire recently within the last month it was put out. It is really weird to see it all burnt up.
All on the way up or at Pikes Peak.
